3 Ways to Spread Christmas Joy

Christ loves His church. Help the GARBC strengthen the ministries of pastors and local churches! This Christmas adopt a GARBC project for your church or family gift-giving. Click here to see three projects to choose from. Begin preparing now—we’ve even provided promotional materials to help you gain support for the project you choose!

Pastoral Cohorts Meet

The new pastoral cohort met in their first online session. Eleven participants representing Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin are interacting on ministry issues and practices for an hour or more each week through December. A new cohort will begin in January. Start the new year off by interacting and learning with ministry colleagues! You never need to be alone in your ministry role. E-mail John Greening if you are interested in participating in a cohort.

Jim Vogel has accepted the call to be the new state representative for the Empire Association of Regular Baptist Churches, having received a 94 percent vote from the messengers attending the group’s fall conference. Currently serving as GARBC associate national representative, Jim will assume his new duties in April 2012. He succeeds Craig Golden, a former GARBC pastor who has served as the state representative since 1988. Jim and his wife, Jeannie, have been a great blessing to churches in the GARBC since their service began in 2007. Read more at www.baptistbulletin.com.
